Students earn points and have the opportunity to purchases prizes at the WOW store several times during the year.  There are many different ways to participate throughout the year:

  • Students who walk or ride wheels* to school will keep track of their points on the WOW Log Sheet.  Each way to and from school is worth one point.  Log sheets will be turned in three times during the year.  Students can spend their points, or save them for the next prize period. WOW Program Details
  • Every Wednesday during the school year will be designated a WOW Wednesday.  Students can choose to walk/ride wheels just on Wednesdays, and keep track of their points on the WOW Log Sheet.  WOW Program Details
  • Students who cannot walk/wheel to school can convert Coach Hugo’s walking club points into WOW points
  • The WOW Program will sponsor a walking school bus” three times during the year.  The walking school bus will travel safely to and from school with the help of parent volunteers and crossing guards.

Safety is a top priority for students walking/wheeling to school.

Pedestrian/bicycle safety tips are available on the PTA website at www.parkglenpta.org under the WOW Program.  If you have any questions regarding WOW or would like to form a walk/wheel pool, please contact WOW chairperson, Cindy Rich, at wow@parkglenpta.org

*Wheels include bicycles and non-motorized scooters, and can be locked at the bike racks.  Helmets are required.

Each class will have the opportunity to go to the WOW store where students can purchase prizes with the points. The student may spend all his/her points or save them until later in the year, up until the end of the year, to purchase larger prizes.
